2D or 3D Leopard Dock

To change the 3D dock to a 2D dock, open up the terminal and type
        defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
Note – Change “YES” to “NO” to restore the 3D dock

Then restart the Dock by typing
        killall Dock
